I had some time to kill this evening, so I set about the shrubs near my home with the Sigma 105 macro lens and a generic speedlite.
I would have thought mid September at 53 degrees North somewhat late for caterpillars, but apparently they know better.
Along Came A Spider
A beetle of some description that got caught in a spider’s web by my front door.
Painted Ladies
The gardens here are quite pleasant, and are managed by someone else as part of the monthly fee for living here.
The only Buddleja davidii that I can find on site in the communal gardens is, happily, right out the back of my home.
