I have been out and about with the camera recently. Feels weird to be be mooching about with other people.
Hopefully it will be safe to carry on doing so; I need the practice.

Gardens
The current #coronavirus lockdown has restricted my photography. I have essentially been limited to mooching around the gardens here at home. However, having camera in hand has been a blessing, more than ever was in the past.
Painted Ladies
The gardens here are quite pleasant, and are managed by someone else as part of the monthly fee for living here.
The only Buddleja davidii that I can find on site in the communal gardens is, happily, right out the back of my home.
Talking to my neighbour about the impending football season, I shot these handheld.
PH-BFL
PH-BFL, heading toward Toronto. Six and half miles straight up, travelling at five hundred and sixty miles an hour.
I’m using a D3300 with the ebay super telephoto.
Goldfinches
A while back, I treated myself to a ridiculous lens, which has the branding of Jintu. Others are available with different names, and all do the same thing – 420mm – 800mm, with manual zoom, manual focus, variable aperture.
I’ve mainly used it for relatively static things up to now, but as it was sunny at lunchtime, I snapped these Goldfinches on the feeder in the garden. Not the easiest of things to capture with this lens.
